ATTENTION

Make sure that the billpayer is the actual user. Otherwise the accumulated debts are payable by the owners of the properties.

Moreover, under the EYATH S.A. Water Intake Regulation, if ownership of a property is transferred, the new owner must pay any previous debts for water bills for the property connected to the network, if the water supply to it has been turned off.

How to get your guarantee back

In some cases, upon signing a Water Supply Contract, an amount is paid as a deposit.

When you leave the property, you have the option to request a return of the deposit, following the procedure that corresponds to your case.

  • either together with a request for termination,
  • or separately, if the water supply has already been transferred to a new client

(e.g. a new tenant or owner).

The available options for the Guarantee Return and the necessary actions are detailed below.

Process & Options:If you paid a deposit when signing the Water Intake contract, you have the following options for its return.

1. Water Intake Termination & Guarantee Refund

The Water Intake Termination and the Guarantee Refund are submitted simultaneously as a single request, upon your departure from the property.

Find out about the supporting documents required by clicking here.

A necessary condition for processing the request for Water Intake Termination is that there are no debts in the requested water supply.

Along with the necessary supporting documents for the termination, a Bank Account Certificate is also required, in which you appear as the beneficiary or co-beneficiary, in order for the amount to be refunded.

You can now submit your request electronically through MyEyathPortal. Learn about the benefits of MyEyathPortal by clicking here.

Request for waiver / mandatory transfer of water supply connection

The Waiver Request is processed exclusively online via MyEyathPortal. Learn about the benefits of MyEyathPortal by clicking here.

Before submitting your request, check whether the water supply connection appears under Pending Connections or Confirmed Connections in your MyEyathPortal account. The process differs depending on the status of the water connection.

If the water supply connection appears under Pending Connections:

Select Connections -> Pending Connections -> Waiver, choose the reason that applies to your case, and attach all required supporting documents.

The available reasons are:

  • I have sold the property associated with this connection.
  • I am the owner of the property associated with this connection, but I am renting it out to someone else.
  • I was previously a tenant of the property associated with this connection and did not request a water supply disconnection upon leaving.
  • The property has been transferred to a new owner due to an auction.

If the water supply connection appears under Confirmed Connections:

Online submission of a Waiver Request is not possible. In this case, please use the Contact feature on MyEyathPortal.
Under the Contact menu of MyEyathPortal, submit a contact application for the Mandatory Transfer of Water Supply Connection, attaching all required supporting documents:

  1. The completed and signed Application form. (For a template, click here)
  2. All required supporting documents that correspond to your case:
    • I have sold the property associated with this connection -> Initially, only the attachment of the Deed of Sale is required. Authenticity must be verified by (a notary public stamp, an official round seal, tax-free use for the public sector, or a valid notary digital signature).
    • I am the owner of the property associated with this connection, but I am renting it out to someone else -> Initially, only the attachment of the Electronic Lease Agreement (showing the acceptance date next to your full name) from the AADE platform is required.
    • I was previously a tenant of the property associated with this connection and did not request a water supply disconnection upon leaving -> Initially, only the attachment of the Electronic Lease Termination Notice (showing the acceptance date next to your full name) from the AADE platform is required.
    • The property has been transferred to a new owner due to an auction -> Initially, only the attachment of the Summary of the Auction Award Report is required.
Note: If there are outstanding debts from the former owner up to the date of the auction award report summary, they must be settled.

*Applications will be reviewed only if a complete file containing all required supporting documents has been submitted.

ATTENTION

Submitting a Contact Request generates a Contact Number. This number appears under the Contact ‭->‬ History menu of your account on MyEyathPortal and serves as your case reference number.

If you are the current contracting party/obligor and wish to terminate the water supply, do not select Waiver. You must first submit a request for Confirmation of Water Supply and, once completed, submit a request for Termination of Water Supply from the Requests ->‬ New Request menu.

*EYATH S.A. reserves the right, upon reviewing the above supporting documents, to request additional documents or clarifications if deemed necessary, or even to proceed with an immediate termination of the water supply under review.

A few words about the process after submitting the request:

The invitation request for “Mandatory Transfer of Water Supply Details” triggers an auxiliary procedure, which follows specific steps.

This procedure is applied as a secondary measure when it is not possible to submit the standard Disconnection request.

As part of this process, an invitation letter is drafted and addressed to the party actually liable for the water supply, which is served via courier (or via a court bailiff, depending on the case).

The invitation provides a deadline to submit an application to transfer the water supply account details into their name. If the relevant application is not submitted within the specified timeframe, a disconnection of the water supply will follow.

Please note that this is a procedure requiring the completion of successive actions and, in most cases, is concluded within three months.
