The fleet of EYATH is getting “green”

EYATH’s fleet is getting green, with the inclusion of new, environmentally friendly cars in a percentage of more than 60% of the company’s new vehicles.

In total, 12 hybrid and 3 electric cars will be procured, a purchase that will reduce EYATH’s carbon footprint in this sector in the coming years and provide greater safety for the transportation of our employees. At the same time, two charging stations for electric cars will be created (the first station is already installed at the EYATH facilities in Sphagia area).

“Measuring our performance in the environment, recording and evaluating potential risks by taking preventive measures is our basic function at EYATH. The rational use of water resources and the sustainable management of our liquid waste are obviously the main pillars of what we call in the company “reducing our environmental footprint'”, points out the managing director of EYATH, Anthimos Amanatidis. “But it’s not just these”, he adds, “it’s also the small and everyday things, our movements, which we rationalize, our vehicles and their emissions, which we try to reduce. The renewal of our fleet is therefore another important “green” step. We aspire in 2024 to become pioneers in the transition to electrification”.

EYATH in 2021 achieved a reduction of its carbon footprint by 7.31% compared to 2020. Its commitment to the protection of the environment “passes” every day through its long-term compliance with the relevant legislation, the upgrading of its production units and equipment, but also the adoption of the best techniques per sector of business activity.
