Water – sewerage bills are issued every 4 months after water meter readings are taken at the scheduled times. Meter readings are taken and bills issued in a rolling cycle every 4 months depending on the area you live in.

Every bill includes:

  1. The billpayer’s details needed by EYATH S.A., the postal address and Tax Reg. No.,
  2. The consumer’s number,
  3. The water meter details (No., model and pipe cross-section),
  4. The unique direct debit number, if bills are paid in that way,
  5. Water consumption over the 4-month period and the quantity of water used, or otherwise the difference between the last and current water meter readings,
  6. The itemised section of the bill which includes: (a) the cost of water based on the scale of prices depending on the quantity of m3 used, (b) the cost of sewerage services which for 2014 is 80% of the price of water, (c) the fixed charges, (d) the special water cycle charge which is € 0.07/m3 of water used, and (e) VAT on those figures which is charged at 13% for water and 24% for the other charges.

The reverse side of the bill contains useful phone numbers and our branches open to the public, as well as other key information for consumers.

Tariff PolicyTariff Information

The general costing and billing rules, measures to improve water services for various purposes and the cost recovery method for those services are laid down in Joint Ministerial Decision No. 132275 (Government Gazette 1751/B/22.5.2017).

The pricing policy for the 2019-2023 period was approved by decision No. 26142/180 of the Special Secretary for Water (Government Gazette 1105/B/3.4.2019) and is valid from May 2019.

In the table above, the categories marked with an asterisk (*) will not be charged with sewage usage fees.

Sewer charges

These charges are calculated on the total price of water, starting at 80%.

Fixed Sewage Tariff

The monthly fixed sewage fee is €1.00, which is uniform across all consumer categories and does not depend on the water connection diameter.

The fixed sewage charge does not apply to connections that are not discharged into the sewerage network.

The monthly/four-month fixed water fee is determined based on the cross-section of the supply pipe for all consumers as follows:

Social Residential TariffTariff Information

Social Residential Tariff

From May 2019 onwards, vulnerable groups will be able to access this tariff under the same criteria as applicable for the PPC social residential tariffs (A and B) and other power supply tariffs. EYATH S.A. will receive a file from the e-Government Centre for Social Security (IDIKA) / the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) and consumers will not need to submit documentation. They will automatically access the tariff if the criteria are met and removed from the tariff when the criteria are no longer met.

hen there is more than one (1) water connections registered in the taxpayer’s tax identification number, it is required to present:

  • the approved IDIKA application (4 pages showing the electricity supply number)
  • the electricity supplier’s last bill (which shows the electricity supply no.)

Social tariff pricing policy

Consumers on the social residential tariff A are entitled to the following discounts:

  • The first 30 m3 of water consumed in any 4-month period is free of charge. In other words only the € 8 (vat excluded) fixed charge is payable, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • A 70% discount on water consumption prices is applied to consumption from 31 to 80 m3 in any 4-month period, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • A 35% discount is applied to consumption from 81 to 120 m3 in any 4-month period, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • No discount is applied if consumption in any 4-month period is over 120 m3, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • The percentage of the discount for this category is calculated on the household tariff and for the total cubic meters consumed.

 

Consumers on the social residential tariff B are entitled to the following discounts:

  • The first 30 m3 of water consumed in any 4-month period is free of charge. In other words only the € 8 (vat excluded) fixed charge is payable, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • A 50% discount on water consumption prices is applied to consumption from 31 to 80 m3 in any 4-month period, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • A 25% discount is applied to consumption from 81 to 120 m3 in any 4-month period, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • No discount is applied if consumption in any 4-month period is over 120 m3, on the total of cubic meters consumed.
  • The percentage of the discount for this category is calculated on the household tariff and for the total cubic meters consumed.

Business – industrial tariffTariff Information

Business – industrial tariff

In the Business – industrial tariff of E.Y.A.TH. S.A. all legal entities / freelancers of any professional activity are included. The tariff policy for the period 2019-2023 was approved by FEK B 1105/03-04-2019 and is valid from May 2019.

They are subject to, voluntarily, by submitting their request either electronically or at the Protocol department (Angelaki 6 ground floor).

It is noted that a legal entity / freelancer is proven by,

certificate of the relevant Chamber or G.E.MH., which is submitted with every new contract or at the Transfer of Water Transfer application

with a recent printout of the Personalized Information – Business Registry Details, from the PORTAL, My AADE, where the VAT id, Tax office, address, property address, form, activity of the business (and representation required only for Legal Entities).
