Extension for the signal of entry in the Wastewater Treatment Facilities

Following requests from tanker owners for a 15-day extension, in order to complete the process of supporting documents and applications required for the special entry signal, it is announced that an extension is given for the submission of the necessary documents until 06/12/2021 and the new system will enter into force on 10/12/2021. After the specific date, it will not be allowed to enter the facilities of EYATH tank that will not bear the special identification mark.

It is reminded that only with the special identification mark will be allowed the entry of tankers in the wastewater treatment facilities of EYATH, in order to protect human health and the environment, but also for the proper operation of the facilities themselves. This change in the process of transport and discharge of sewage from tanks is due in the updated Regulation for the Operation of Sewage Tanks for EELTH, in Sindos, and “Aenea”, in Aggelochori, which is an annex of the new Special Sewerage Regulation (decision no. 35). 2021-FEK4252BD / 15-09-2021). It concerns sewage tanker owners, drivers and driver assistants, who will now have to have an approved entry signal, which will be electronically connected to a cooperating tanker registration application and an automatic control system (entry-exit bars).

An additional obligation arising from the regulation, is the charge per tank with the prepaid service system. The charge will amount to 5 euros for tanks with a capacity of up to 15 tons and 7 euros for tanks with a capacity of more than 15 tons.

The tanker owners who are interested must apply for a Sewer Drainage Contract either in person (by appointment at 2310 966600) at Tsimiski St. 98 (1st floor), at the Sewerage Permit Department, or electronically at https://www.eyath.gr/aitisi-vytioforea/.
